After a long time, i was back to my old good (habit) days of reading the newspaper.I have been reading newspapers on and off lately and since this being a long weekend ..yup:) a Weekend with 3 days of holidays. After scanning innumerable mindless articles on beauty, health tips, dandiya nights which has the youngsters and the not so young youngistaan junta clad in colorful(maybe ..dawdy is the word..but since its festival, we can call it colorful) costumes(its aint clothes but costumes) and grooving to remixes i finally settled for an article on Mr.Ravana. Until now i thought he was evil, but i dint know that he had a good side too!!!
I was surprised that he was a learned person and even Lord Rama was at his feet and pleaded him to share some of his knowledge just before his death. He was also a devotee of Lord Shiva but he eventually succumbed to the basest of the desires of possessing a lady(i.e a wife who was fully devoted to her husband)
The takeaway from the total article were the last words by Mr.Ravana -"Things that are bad for you seduce you easily; you run towards them impatiently. But things that are actually good for you fail to attract you; you shun them creatively, finding powerful excuses to justify your procrastination."
And lastly, something worth mentioning from my perspective, One has a tough time maintaining the clean-guy image, Once you are termed Bad, the bar is lowered and people expecting nothing good from you. So that's the Good, Bad and the Ugly of it
